How to win friends and influence social media

It seems simple, doesn't it?

I feel old. Older than the combined ages of my 325 facebook friends. We all have those connections from high school, from old jobs, from nights with half shut eyes and boozy breath, broken promises, missed connections. Cumulatively the lives that exist outside of our own number by the bajillions, but at most, we subject ourselves to an semi-honest few thousand of years, depending on your assigned generation. It feels disingenuous, though. How many are hidden from your feed? How many actually pay attention to you beyond the few courtesy likes that you get when you're unhidden?

This is a picture of a dragon. I'm adding excitement to a list.

Still, the idea of "Influencing" is powerful. Someone on the internet said "Everyone is curious, but no one really cares." I'd tend to agree, as a powerful optimistic nihillist myself. For some reason though, the world of social media allows us to feign enchantment to the point of actual emotional involvement at times. Don't believe me? Spend 5 minutes looking through the YouTube gossip channels.

So how does someone as self-admittedly ancient snag a number of admirers so I can better flesh out the free samples I can get in the mail? That's what this is going to be about. Welcome to my arbitrary honest journey into the world of blogging about products with innumerable disclaimers, clinical trials, product testing, and etc. Maybe this will turn them off. Maybe a few people will finally figure out that you can pay to have bad reviews removed, and Yelp will blackball you until you do, and the people who are happy are all paid.

Or maybe I'll get a couple of free samples in the mail, and show YOU how to get them too! Also giveaways.

If this sees a modicum of success, this initial post will go away forever. I'm pre-planning on selling out.
